FIVE-SPICE PORK TENDERLOIN

Preparation time: 60 minutes
Yield: 4 servings

Comment: Five Spice Powder is one of the many blends to come from the Szechuan region of China and is available in most American supermarkets. 

Ingredients:
10 oz pork tenderloin
1 package of egg noodles
1 tbsp  soy sauce
Five Spice Powder
2 tbsps vegetable oil
1 small red pepper
1 small zucchini
2 tbsps Fish sauce (Nuöc Màm) or soy sauce
1 onion
pepper
cilantro

Method:
Combine 1 tbsp soy sauce and Five Spice to make a marinade. Cut the tenderloin into ¼” thick slices. Place them in a dish and add the marinade. Marinate for 30 minutes. While marinating the meat, thinly slice the red pepper; peel and thinly slice the onion and cut the zucchini into sticks.
Cook the noodles according to the package directions; drain. In a wok, heat the 2 tbsps oil; sauté the onion for 2 minutes add the pepper and stir fry for 3 minutes. Add the zucchini and cook for 2 minutes. Add the  fish sauce or soy sauce and season with pepper. Mix well, then stir in the noodles. Keep hot. Drain the pork and cook the pieces of tenderloin on the barbecue.
Serve very hot. At the last minute, add the cilantro to the noodles.
